Most people want to get this thing called LIFE right. There is something within each of us that realizes that there really is a life worth living, a best version of ourselves, and a purpose to our existence. But even though we know it so often, people miss it. They miss out on the phenomenal life that Jesus has called us to live. The question is why? This series gives us a chance to examine different aspects of our lives and align them with God’s plan and design. In essence, we are getting our duck in a row and by doing so, position ourselves to experience God in fresh and new ways. We also discover a fun, a richness, and depth of life. But you have to be willing to get your ducks in a row.

The Gospels record 34 distinct miracles while there were countless more that were not recorded in the written words of scripture. John’s Gospel puts seven miracles that unveil seven unique dimensions of Jesus’ miraculous power. The seven miracles are seven signs. Each of the seven signs points to Jesus. Make no mistake, He is the only One who could perform these miracles then and He is the only One who can do them today.

Everyone wants a miracle – but no one wants to be in a situation that needs one!

The prerequisite for a miracle is a problem. The bigger the problem, the greater potential miracle. But here is what we have to remember, what we perceive as a problem is nothing more than an opportunity for God to reveal His glory.
It is easy to allow ourselves to become overwhelmed by the world around us, but when we see and know Jesus, we can move beyond living overwhelmed to living as an overcomer!

Get ready for some fun!

We all need to have fun from time to time.

If you want to have some fun – and I mean, really have some fun … then the key is in the UN.

Say what?

We need to start living UN.

The call of Jesus is to follow Him. We are called to obedience, called to use our gifts, called to live in community, and called to touch and change the world…

Yet… we often don’t ever get around to doing any of that because we are always upset, angry, fearful, indignant, resentful or offended by someone, something, or some…well, you get it and can fill in the gaps here.

It is time to realize that the solution to that struggle is in understanding the call of Christ is a call to live – UN

Unconquered – uncompromised – undivided – unbreakable – unoffendable – unashamed – and the result is that with Jesus we are unstoppable.

I will live UN with Jesus and together we will be unstoppable!

The expectations, the anticipation, the lists, the wishes, the décor, the giftwrap, the lights, the music, and of course…. The toys are all a part of the Christmas celebration. Each of them create an almost magical season of the year that points to one place – a stable in Bethlehem. So get ready for a fun filled, nostalgic, and essential things to remember as we celebrate Christmas once again.

Wow! The holiday season is here. The Church @ 434 has so much to be thankful for. God has blessed, is blessing, and will continue to bless us as a ministry and as individuals. We just have to say “THANKS!”

There is a factory that seems to be working overtime to produce fear in our lives….

But there is good news, it is actually great news… we can break free from the fear factory and discover God’s great escape plan

This series reminds us that despite the uncertainty of the world and the pressure we place on ourselves, Scripture directs us to release that fear and anxiety to God.

When we do, we don’t have to lie awake at night.

Our shortness of breath can be replaced by life-giving rest.

We can feel a peace that goes beyond all understanding.

We will be challenged to be open about our insecurities and recognize that we all suffer from them.

There is a key verse that we anchor to in this series… each portion of it allows us to anchor to a truth that is explained and expanded in the Word – Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7 NIV

It is here! The most wonderful time of the year…Christmas. Christmas @ 434 is truly an exciting time, we hope you are ready for all the fun and excitement of the season. You might have noticed that for some people, Christmas gets a little complicated. Wonderful and complicated don’t always seem to fit together…so how can you help? This year we begin our “Make the Season Bright” series with a reminder of how complicated it can be.

It is an attitude that needs to define our lives. If we can live it out, we have lives with deeper and richer meaning – the attitude is Gratitude and the Now What for this morning may be the most revolutionary idea you have ever tried.

Some strange things have dropped from the sky.

When something leaves orbit and comes crashing to the planet, people tend to notice.

These are not man-made objects but instead – supernatural events.

We kick off a new series today called “Plot Twist” where we jump into what are some familiar stories about Jesus. However, this look at familiar stories is one where we are paying extra attention to the sudden plots twists that happen.

Believe it or not, when the plot twists in each of these stories there is something important for us to learn. Even better than that, each lesson drives us forward into the calling that God has for each of us in our lives. Today we begin with an unexpected series of events that we not so random….

We on an amazing planet that God has created. This planet is loaded with mystery and discovery. Imagine what it might have been like to live in an era where human beings lived alongside some of the most massive, frightening, and mysterious creatures ever created. This is not science fiction, this is actually a look at some amazing creatures that have been lost in the years with the passing of time. But these creatures can teach us much about their Creator, the times they thrived within, and some things we can learn from them.

This series explores the wonder and the mystery of the Holy Spirit (also known as the Holy Ghost), and examines His work in the lives of followers everywhere. This crash course will allow us to get to know the Holy Spirit better and to walk with Him through every part of our daily lives. We are each created in the Image of God. Our God is the God of Creation and each of us carry that little spark and a desire to create. In reality anyone who creates things can be considered a maker. A mother building a scrapbook of her baby is a maker, an electrical engineering student building his first project is a maker, and even that six year old building a city out of Lego blocks is a maker.

This is a mini-series about Makers…and you, believe it or not, are a maker…what are you making? Glad you asked…let’s find out together…

There is nothing as terrifying as being neck deep in the ocean when someone yells “Shark!” You realize that in the water the shark can out maneuver you and you are consumed with the thought of how to get where it is safe. Being chased by a shark is not fun, watching a shark can be… you get the idea. Today, we begin a brand new series entitled “We Need a Bigger Boat” based upon that memorable line from the ultimate summer beach movie – Jaws. Against the backdrop of the ocean, we are going to take a deep dive into the Word of God and discover some frightening parallels between some of the things we find in the Bible and the culture we live in today. Get ready for a bit of mystery, a bit of history, a bit of encouragement, and a challenge or two as we set sail on an adventure like none we have been on before….

Here we are at the start of new year. As the days stretch out before us the question always wanders across our minds and hearts… what does this year hold? What is going to happen next? Will I be ready? How do I get ready? How do I get from here to there?

It is that time of year – Christmas is coming soon. There is so much to do, so many things to accomplish, and one of the things that is common in most traditions is putting up the Christmas Tree.

It is easy to get weary from the challenges we face. It is common to get wounded by the battles we find ourselves in. It is confusing to figure out a world that is spinning out of control. If you are not careful, the struggles will suck the life out of your life. You feel like you are out of space, out of room, and out of time – your back is against the wall. So what happens then? What do you do when it gets tough and you are tired? Well this series is a powerful reminder that it may not be as bad as it seems. As a matter of fact there is relief on the way and God may be using you to bless more people than you can imagine. Against the wall may be the very place that you discover your hour and your moment to stand up and speak up.

This is our series that in essence kicks off our new church year. It carries us into Surge Day and then into the Fall. Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. But the gift of God is today. God has positioned each of us as individuals and as a ministry for an amazing future. But often people miss out on what God has for them because they obsess over the past, they worry about the future, and as a result they squander the miracle of the day God has given them.

This is a collection of worship services that we had a special guest teach us. This does not include the Biblical Discovery series, etc.

The jungle is filled with mystery, excitement, and adventure waiting to be experienced. In this summer series, we are going to go on a Jungle Cruise through the pages of the Bible that even the most seasoned of jungle explorers will find unexplored. Along the way, we learn valuable lessons about how to navigate through the jungles of life.

We all know what it is like to get walloped by a mis… not sure what that means? Lets say it this way – we need to have a faith that can withstand whatever the world brings our direction: those who mistreat us, mislead us, and misdirect us. (see all three words start with mis?) We would love to miss out on mistreatment, misleading, and misdirection. While we can’t miss out on those things, we can have a faith that is unstoppable, even when life is unfair, even when everyone around us is moving a different direction.
