Welcome to SURGE DAY, it is a day where we celebrate the birthday of The Church @ 434. This year, SURGE DAY is even more special because of all the things that God has been doing on this ministry. We are poised to take some bold and daring steps into the future God has for us. Our current series, Tomorrow – Expanding our Horizons is getting us ready for those steps. Our theme for this day is LAUNCH and we go to the Launch Pad for worship this morning. In space exploration, a strong, secure launch pad is crucial; without it, no rocket could ever take off safely. Similarly, in our spiritual lives, the foundation we build upon determines how far we can go in our walk with God. Once the mission and vision is in place, then the countdown is officially started – next stop – The Launch Pad!

Today is an amazing day. We are in a series where we are discovering the importance of being “stuck” to Jesus. We have been building on the idea that – Jesus doesn’t want more FROM you – He wants more OF you We will continue our series today by thinking about Velcro…yep, that’s right Velcro. And this morning we are also celebrating the amazing stuff that God has been doing here at The Church @ 434. It is our SURGE day – our birthday as a ministry – and as we move into the future God has for us, what an important concept to be dealing with…stuck to Him, stuck to one another, and stuck in the adventure He has called us to… welcome to a Velcro Surge Day

We often undervalue the gift of a new day. What if we embraced each day for the gift it was. What if we could learn to see each moment as a gift from God that was not an accident, and instead was a divine opportunity wrapped inside the stuff of real life? As we kick off a new year of ministry at The Church @ 434, we also kick off a new series. As we begin we will discover that almost anyone can accomplish anything if they work at it long enough, hard enough, and smart enough – and each of those elements are important, because we have what we need to have, today…so what are you waiting for? There is no better day than today!

This is SURGE Day : The day we remember and celebrate when God took two distinct ministries and made them one. It is an amazing story of how God provides just what you need at just the right time in just the right way. Actually those are important lessons for all of us during this coronavirus season of living. On the day when the First Baptist Church and Covenant Community Church joined together it was not really a merge, but rather a surge. In a rushing wave of power the landscape forever changed… and a new ministry began. That is why it is called SURGE Day and that is what we celebrate today. This will be a great morning of worship as we continue or Pandemonium Pandemic series with a few thoughts about the unknown and the known…and together we will celebrate what God has done and anticipate what God is going to do in the days ahead.

This is a very special day of celebration for The Church @ 434. It is officially “SURGE Day” – the day that a new ministry began here @ 434. This year we once again celebrate all God has done and get ready for what He is going to do next!
Today’s Celebration Worship experience features the music of The No-Name Band, a parable created for this even, and an introduction to our upcoming series called – The Construction Code.
