Unstoppable Devotion—
God is Unstoppable

Here are a few things to think about, a few verses to read, and a few things to pray about as we dream about taking the Unstoppable Journey Jesus has called us to take as the people of Covenant Community Church.

With whom, then, will you compare God?
To what image will you liken him?
Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
Has it not been told you from the beginning?

Have you not understood since the earth was founded? He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in. He brings princes to naught and reduces the rulers of this world to nothing. No sooner are they planted, no sooner are they sown, no sooner do they take root in the ground, than He blows on them and they wither, and a whirlwind sweeps them away like chaff.

– Isaiah 40:18, 21-24

God is unstoppable.

There is no power, no force, no purpose, no being that is able to stand up to the wisdom, the power or the glory of our God. All things revolve around him (Rm. 11:36).

All things are judged by Him (Ps. 96:13), because all things are subject to Him. He is the beginning and the end of all things (Rev. 22:13).

Our wisest moments are the ones we choose to worship and live our lives according to His purpose for “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.” Rev. 4:11

After all, the Bible says that those of us who belong to Christ are to be found in God (Col 3:3,4), to

listen to His voice (Eccl. 5:1-3, Jn.10:14-16) and to obey Him (Acts 5:29). The Bible says “the fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” Pr. 9:10

This is not the fear of punishment, but the respect and honor of acknowledging that He is the leader of our lives and the lover of our souls. And His love endures forever (Ps. 118). Today we choose to live for our Unstoppable God. (Rm. 14:7,8)

UNSTOPPABLE COMMITMENT: Take some time to thank God for the gifts He has given you.

UNSTOPPABLE TRUTH: If we live our lives according to His plan and follow Him on the journey He has mapped out for us…then we become unstoppable!

PRAY: Ask Him to lead you today.

IF GOD IS UNSTOPPABLE, THEN  IT ONLY MAKES SENSE THAT WE SHOULD BE A PART OF WHAT HE IS DOING.
