Media Clip "Light"

Most have always thought that being invisible was the stuff of science fiction. Perhaps it is not that way any longer. Click below and discover the way that science is trying to make people have the ability to disappear when they want to.

Is He The Invisible Man?

The second installment of our Invisible Series features a study entitled
The Invisible Village.
Celebration Worship January 16, 2004

(WARNING: The video shown in this study is from the movie, The Village, which is rated PG13.  You may want to watch the movie first, before watching this service, or the movie may be ruined for you)

It features the M. Night Shaymalan film, The Village. The film is one of the most powerful motion pictures you might ever see. It is amazing because of all the things it is not. It is not the most frightening movie you will ever see....although it can be scary. It is not the best action/thriller you will ever watch...although there are many thrills, action, and just plain old fashioned creepy stuff. It is not the best love story you will ever see...although it is a love story. What The Village is...more than anything else....is a fantastic story, told once again by a phenomenal story teller, and filmed in such vivid images that you will be thinking and talking about the movie when it is over.

In our study we used the film as a parable about the church and the culture. The movie itself is available on DVD. If you want to explore the movie in greater detail check out the direct link to the website

 The third and final installment of our Invisible Series is entitled
The Voyage From the Invisible

As a part of the celebration worship experience we featured an illusion that was created by one of the greatest
magicians of all-time David Copperfield.

The illusion featured the disappearance of The Orient Express. You can watch the footage as a part of the celebration worship experience. The clip you can click on below is the same clip with a different soundtrack. The clip below features the Orient Express Illusion with David Copperfield providing a behind the scenes commentary. It takes an already specatacular illusion to another level listening to the magician himself describe what went into creating this magical moment.

Additional Study Helps

The passage of Scripture that was used in
The Voyage from the Invisible
took place during the Feast of Tabernacles. In understanding that Feast you can gain some insight into the high impact of what Jesus said. Not only did He say, "I am light!" at this Festival...He also said something else.

We covered this during a Sonrise Bible Study series entitled;
I Need A Drink
