If they are wayward and living a life not pleasing to God...how can I help them in a way that honors God?
Resources > Ask Jeff

It is the million dollar question, how do I love and deal with a prodigal child or family member and really help them but not enable them?

Many parents, family members and friends have struggled through what to do. While there is no absolute checklist, what you have in this article, compiled as a supplement to a study on Unconditional love, is a 10 step list of suggestions based on information shared by a prodigal who has come home, parents who have been through the struggle, and families who are currently in the heat of the confusing world of loving others when they are hard to love.

Consider this resource as good advice...

Who Was the Naked Guy In the Garden of Gethsemane?
Resources > Ask Jeff
Posted by Rev. Jeff Dixon, Senior Equipping Minister, CCC Ministries on Apr 7, 2010, 08:18
Just about the time Jesus was finished healing the ear of the servant of the high priest named Malchus, the Gospel of Mark tells us a naked young man was found in the Garden of Gethsemane. Mark 15:51,52 says, "And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him: and he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked."
Who was this young man? Why was he following Jesus? Why was he naked? Why was he draped in a linen cloth instead of wearing normal clothes? And why was the Holy Spirit so careful to include this unique story in Mark's account of the Gospel? What is the significance of this event?

I just read Eckhart Toller's bestselling book, A New Earth. It has sold millions, Oprah is doing a web class and seminar on XM radio with the author. The book claims it is a spiritual call to a better way of living. What do you think about it? Is it helpful for a Christian to read this?

The Jesus Tomb

Posted by Rev. Jeff Dixon, Senior Equipping Minister, CCC Ministries on Feb 27, 2007, 10:11
On Monday, February 26, 2007 a press conference was held to announce; "The Lost Tomb of Christ," which the Discovery Channel will run on March 4, 2007 (and later release on DVD) which suggests that 10 ancient ossuaries (small caskets used to store bones) discovered in a suburb of Jerusalem in 1980 may have contained the bones of Jesus and his family.

One of the caskets even bears the title, "Judah, son of Jesus," hinting that Jesus may have had a son. And the very fact that Jesus had an ossuary would contradict the Christian belief that he was resurrected and ascended to heaven.

James Cameron (Terminator and Titanic) along with a team of scholars showed two stone ossuaries, or bone boxes, that he said might have once contained the bones of Jesus and Mary Magdalene. These findings are what will be shown in the documentary and a book "The Jesus Family Tomb."

Several had inscriptions translated as Jesus, Mary Magdalene and "Judah, son of Jesus," Cameron informed in the news conference at the New York Public Library surrounded by scholars and archeologists.

Does this disprove the reality of what the Bible says? Lets find out...

A Heart Like His

The Bible says that David was a “man after God’s own heart”
So the question is…when the Bible says “heart” what exactly is Scripture talking about?

This question emerged from the series of Celebration Worship events at CCC entitled LOST : The Series and the series of Sonrise Bible Studies entitled: The Lost Experience
