LIGHT IT UP!
In 1 Kings 18, God’s prophet Elijah called down a holy fire from heaven in the infamous fire fight with the prophets of Baal on Mt. Carmel, declaring, “The god who answers by fire-he is God.”  Like the mighty flames that consumed Elijah's altar, the Spirit of God is often described as an all-consuming fire.  In this celebration worship event, Jeff calls on those who are straddling the spiritual fence to make a once-and-for-all decision by responding to the
burning call of Jesus.

Dance Into The Fire

What would you do if you were faced with the choice either to obey God and die or to deny God and live? 

In the Old Testament book of Daniel, Chapter 3, three young men were faced with that exact choice: to worship the God of Israel alone and be thrown into a fiery furnace or to bow to an idol of gold and live. 

Today our BACKDRAFT series continues as we "Dance Into The Fire." Jeff Dixon brings the impact of this historic decision of the past into the present, our individual present, as he challenges us to be “flameworthy” followers of Christ in a sometimes "hot to handle" world.

When God hired Moses to lead his people, he spoke through the fire of a burning bush that was not consumed.  God’s incendiary encounter with Moses gave him the burning desire to obey God’s calling for the task that lay ahead of him.  Jeff  teaches in this message that we can still experience God in the same way today as God ignites our heart, soul, and passion with a spiritual backdraft that changes us forever.

We have been in a series entitled BACKDRAFT and tried to discover some things that would ignite a spiritual backdraft in each of our lives. If that can happen then our lives will ignite and burn brightly for the Savior. This week we take one last look at a fire passage in the Bible. The title of the study is Hell's Bells. There is an alarm that is ringing, when you hear an alarm you are supposed to react, move, do something to get where you are safe. Today we sound the fire alarm and give you some very real, honest, and straight forward talk about hell. Have you noticed that no one really likes to talk about hell? In our culture there is another bell that is ringing. It is a Bell that is saying hell is nothing to worry about, as a matter of fact Time magazine featured a cover story a few weeks ago asking the question, "What If There Is No Hell?" Understanding some things about hell should help us, not scare us, and as a result our lives can ignite with an urgency that might just change the world.
