Week 1 - 1/7/2007 - God's Heart...God's Man...God's Ways
In this study we look at some of the background for the amazing story of David...the shepherd boy who became king.
Along the way though a variety of passages we find an important principle about who God calls and uses. We find 3 Essential qualifications that we must have to be the people of God. We discover the Lord's Training Ground and find out His method is not the one we would assume. Then last but not least there are two important truths that we must process and learn.
All in all, there is much to help us in this study. The things that are covered in this study are things that are not being covered in the Celebration Worship series called LOST.

Week 2 - 1/14/2007 - The Aftermath of a Giant Killing
David kills Goliath and becomes the King...right?
Well...there were a few more things that happened between those two events. The Celebration Worship Series entitled LOST gives us some insight into what it means to "have a heart like His"
These studies are designed to fill in the gaps around and to enhance what we just do not have time to cover in our celebration worship experiences. These edition allows us to see what happened to David after Goliath was killed and what God did to prepare David to be king.
If you listen really close you will find some often missed info about why Saul asked who David's father was...why Saul already had known but needed it clarified...and what it really meant for David to be a friend to Jonathan.

Week 3 - 1/21/2007 - Cloudy Days and Darker Nights
In this installment we discover that once again, David is a lot like us. He makes some decisions based up his circumstances, his feelings, his anxiety, and his confusion...and the results are disasterous!
The good news is that God does not give up on him...and we also find that God does not give up on us. By looking at his life we can learn from his example and once again discover some help and hope for what it means to have a heart like His...

Week 4 - 1/28/2007 - One More Look and One Little Slip!
The road that David took from boy giant killer to king was a long one. Each step gave him and us a great opportunity to see how God was working, how God was teaching, and how God was guiding his life. In the moments that David was good, he was extremely good...in the moment he was bad, he was terrible.
In this session we explore the aftermath of Saul's death when David emerged as king. We also look at one of the most significant moments in the rule of King David...as he brought the ark to Jerusalem. In this moment we again come face to face with who God is, how He deals with us, and how we must deal with Him.
This fills in the gaps around the Celebration Worship experience, LOST : Episode Four....LOST Direction
